What is the standard for workshop safety barriers

When the height of the platform, channel, and workplace from the reference plane is less than 2 meters, the height of the industrial fence should not be less than 0.9 meters. When the height from the reference plane is greater than or equal to 2 meters but less than 20 meters, the height of the industrial protective fence should be 1.05m. When the height from the reference plane is greater than or equal to 20 meters, the height of the industrial fence should not be less than 1.2m.

According to Gb4053.3-2009 "Steel Straight Ladder, Steel Diagonal Ladder, Industrial Guardrail" 5.2 Fence Height:

1. When the height from the reference plane is less than 2 meters, the height of the protective railing shall not be less than 900mm;

2. When the height from the reference plane is greater than 2 meters but less than 20 meters, the height of protective railings for platforms, passages, and workplaces shall not be less than 1050mm;

3. The height of protective railings for platforms, passages, and workplaces that are not less than 20 meters above the reference plane shall not be less than 1200mm.

Note: Some fences are fully enclosed, such as robot workplaces, robotic arm fences, and so on. These fence heights need to be customized according to the height and operating range of the robot or robotic arm.
